Aidan Baker makes music that is best listened to alone. Under a sky full of stars. When you are driving on the highway. You have a full tank of gas, but you spent your last 15 dollars filling it up. You have a cut on your finger that is still bleeding. You want to smoke, but you don't have any cigarettes. There is a small crack in the windshield that you know will one day spread, and you will have to replace the entire thing. You are hundreds of miles away from the nearest town. Time seems to be passing quickly, but the clock isn't changing.

Figures is a series of ambient post-pop songs based around recurring motifs and progressions, entwining droning guitar, minimal percussion, and strings.
